Saint George Lawncare & Saint George Fertilizer Service Disclaimer
By accepting our quote and scheduling services, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined in this disclaimer.
Saint George Lawncare and Saint George Fertilizer are separate businesses with distinct services, licensing, and operational responsibilities.
✔ Saint George Lawncare (Unlicensed Lawn Maintenance Services)
✔ Saint George Fertilizer (Licensed Fertilizer & Pesticide Applications)
Only licensed technicians from Saint George Fertilizer may apply regulated chemical treatments. Any pesticide, herbicide, or liquid fertilizer treatments will be performed under Saint George Fertilizer and billed separately from Saint George Lawncare.
✔ Potential for Drift – While we take every precaution to apply chemicals safely and according to label instructions, wind, temperature, and environmental conditions may cause unintended spray drift beyond the target area.
✔ Client Responsibility for Protecting Sensitive Areas – Customers must notify us of any sensitive plants, organic gardens, water features, or other areas that should not be exposed to chemicals. We are not responsible for damage to non-target plants due to wind drift, root uptake, or other environmental factors beyond our control.
✔ Non-Target Plant Damage – Some plants are highly sensitive to herbicides, insecticides, and fungicides. We are not responsible for unintended effects on non-target vegetation if drift or root absorption occurs.
✔ Spray Timing Adjustments – We monitor weather conditions closely before applications. However, if sudden wind or temperature shifts occur, chemical effectiveness may be impacted.
Deep root feeding is often marketed as a "best practice," but in Southern Utah’s soil conditions, this method is ineffective due to the following reasons:
✔ Feeder Roots Are Near the Water Source – Most feeder roots are within the top 6 inches of soil, concentrated near drip emitters or irrigation zones.
✔ Alkaline & Caliche Soils Restrict Deep Root Growth – Many properties have caliche, a hard, cement-like layer that prevents deep root penetration and water movement.
✔ Nursery Trees Do Not Have Tap Roots – Trees and shrubs grown in nurseries have their tap roots cut to promote fibrous root growth, making them dependent on surface-level feeder roots.
✔ Roots Grow Where Water Is Available – In arid climates, roots only grow where moisture is consistently available. If water is too deep, roots won’t extend downward to reach it.
💡 Our Solution: Instead of deep root feeding, we use soil drenching and foliar feeding to target the active root zone, ensuring maximum nutrient absorption.
✔ This fertilization treatment is formulated to enhance plant health by improving nutrient availability and root development. However, results may vary based on factors such as soil conditions, plant health, weather, and irrigation practices.
✔ While we take care to apply treatments safely and effectively, we are not responsible for plant loss, damage, or adverse reactions due to pre-existing conditions, environmental stress, or improper after care.
✔ Proper watering and ongoing maintenance are essential for the best results. The property owner is responsible for maintaining appropriate irrigation schedules to ensure nutrient absorption and plant health.
✔ This treatment does not guarantee protection against pests, disease, or extreme weather conditions.
✔ For safety, please allow treatment to dry before allowing pets or children into treated areas.
✔ Water Bills May Be Higher Than Average – If your property has more trees, shrubs, or turfgrass than the average home, your water bill will likely be higher.
✔ Watering Needs Increase as Trees & Shrubs Grow – Larger trees and shrubs require more water due to higher transpiration rates.
✔ We Are Not Responsible for Water Bills – While we provide best-practice watering recommendations, we do not monitor individual water usage.
✔ Service Notification – We notify customers one day before their scheduled service.
✔ Pet Waste Removal Requirement – Customers must remove pet waste (dog droppings) from the lawn before service to ensure clean equipment and personel.
✔ Service Schedule & Adjustments – While we do our best to maintain a consistent schedule, service dates may change due to:
✔ Rescheduling Policy – If we must reschedule, we will notify you and arrange the next available service date.
✔ Payment Policy – All services are final. No refunds will be issued for completed treatments.
✔ Payment Method Requirement – A valid payment method must be on file prior to the commencement of any booked work to be performed.
✔ Cancellation Policy – Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before a scheduled service to avoid a cancellation fee.
✔ Recurring Services & Auto-Renewal – Customers enrolled in seasonal treatment plans will have services auto-renew unless canceled at least 7 days before the next visit.
✔ Liability Waiver – By accepting service, the customer agrees to hold Saint George Lawncare and Saint George Fertilizer harmless for any unintended effects caused by environmental factors, improper aftercare, or product interactions beyond our control.
✔ Property Damage, Window Breakage & Sprinkler Repairs – We take every precaution to minimize the risk of damage caused by flying debris. Stick edgers with guarded metal blades are used for vertical edging to prevent rocks or soil from being propelled into the air. We do not use string trimmers for vertical edging as they increase airborne debris risks. While these safety measures help, some risk is unavoidable.
✔ Customer Responsibility – Customers should inspect their property for loose rocks or debris before service. We are not responsible for property damage, including broken windows caused by debris.
✔ Watering Responsibility Disclaimer – We are not responsible for a client’s water bill. Adjustments may be needed based on sprinkler efficiency and landscape needs. Overspray and runoff are unavoidable, but we use multiple start times to minimize waste.
✔ Sprinkler Head Replacement & Repair – If a crew member breaks a sprinkler head, we will replace it. Worn-out sprinklers are not included in repairs. Customers can choose automatic repair authorization or require pre-approval before repairs.
✔ Pop-up spray heads: 12 to 18 minutes per day (6 to 9 minutes in the morning, 6 to 9 minutes in the evening)
✔ Rotary sprinkler heads: 36 minutes per day (18 minutes in the morning, 18 minutes in the evening)
✔ Drip emitters: 46 minutes per day (23 minutes in the morning, 23 minutes in the evening) – equivalent to 1 gallon per plant per watering
✔ Spring: 3 times per week, lawn and drip
✔ Summer: 5 times per week, lawn and drip
✔ Fall: 3 times per week, lawn and drip
✔ Winter: 1 time per week, lawn and drip
✔ If a client chooses to water every other day in summer, increase watering time per station by 35%.
✔ Maintain Summer Station Run Times: The established summer watering durations for turf grass and drip irrigation should never change. Only the number of watering days should be adjusted seasonally to match weather conditions.
✔ Sprinkler Spacing Varies: Most lawns are not watered on a perfect grid due to irregular sprinkler placement. Some fine-tuning may be needed, especially in summer.
✔ Adjust Days, Not Duration: The key to effective watering is keeping the summer-established run times the same while adjusting the number of watering days based on the season.
✔ Winter Adjustments for Freezing Conditions: The only time water start times should be changed is when there is a risk of water turning to ice on concrete or hardscape surfaces. This ensures the established summer watering durations remain intact and do not need to be recalculated each year.
Note: Every year clients turn the sprinkler timer "off" when it rains and forget to turn it back on and damage to lawn, trees and shrubs occur. Each timer has a rain delay selection. Choose this option instead of turning the sprinkler timer off.
